This semester’s Growth Academy Students are just about to complete their month’s training in Sales Process and implement their new plans and projects in their businesses; our amazing Five Day Sales Challenge (starting on Monday and free to attend!) is all around Creating a Powerful Sales Process in your Business; and even Karen’s upcoming webinar touches on why having a great sales process is not only great for your business – it’s essential!
So, while it might not seem like the most exciting thing in the world, when you see the results of creating a Powerful Sales Process – we guarantee you’ll get pretty excited!
Your sales cycle is how you turn prospects into loyal repeat customers. It is made up of touch points and can be as simple as:
Create Lead –> Introduce our Services –> Arrange a Face to Face Meeting –> Pitch for the Work –> Close
But, there are lots of different ways you can communicate with your customers at each stage.
Creating a process which sets out which set of sales activities is delivered to each client and at which stage, will save you time, money and effort. Giving you a clear system for your teams to follow and clear messages for your clients.
Part of your sales process should include recording each interaction. Each contact you have forms part of your process and forms your customer’s experience of your business. Automatically recording these interactions as part of your process means you never forget a details and clients are always impressed when you can refer back to the details of previous interactions with apparent ease.
A clear sales process creates a clear set of actions and tasks your team needs to perform. These tasks and their effectiveness can be measured. This makes a great sales process one of the most efficient means you have of assessing current team members’ performance and training new team members too.
